Bobby Bones’ Million Dollar Show 7: a Discography

On April 3rd, Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots will raise a bunch of money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a bunch of his famous friends.

The Headliners

Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots

Bones’ own comedy band is clean, up-beat, and fun for all ages. The Raging Idiots have released a range of songs – from topics for kids (The Planet Song) to funny songs about seeing his G’ma naked.

During the Million Dollar Show, Bones and co-star, Producer Eddie Garcia typically play alongside the performing star artist – a fun dynamic that gives the performance an excited listening room feel while allowing Bones to serve as the evening’s emcee.

Country Music Stars: Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi, Megan Moroney, and Nate Smith

The stars of Country Music will be at The Ryman, singing a few of their hits with Bobby and Eddie. The four artists listed above have amassed almost 20 #1 hit singles.

The biggest star of the bunch, of course, is Sam Hunt who HAS to be planning to sing “Body Like a Backroad”, right??!!?? Other for sure-fire hit songs that should be played: “Tennessee Orange” (Moroney), “Dirt on My Boots” (Pardi), and “Whiskey on You” (Smith).

Of course, all of the headliners will be on the road over the summer at cities across America – Hunt is performing in Knoxville the following night, Smith will be with Morgan Wallen in Indianapolis the next day; Pardi and Moroney hit the road a few weeks later.

Other Genre Stars: Ben Rector, Mat Kearney, and Edwin McCain

Rector and Kearney are likely not as familiar to fans of The Bobby Bones’ Show. Their following is more “indie” in nature, built through relentless touring.

Rector, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, plays piano and guitar in an interactive style that will be amazing to see at a venue like The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for the Million Dollar Show. Rector often asks the crowd to sing along so, if you’re attending, be ready for your cue. Rector is touring with Dan + Shay and has the show in Milwaukee the day after the MDS so I’d expect something quick and high energy.

Like Rector, Mat Kearney developed a loyal “indie” fan base through constant touring. His upcoming tour begins in June and runs the remainder of the year, playing mostly larger theater settings. The Ryman, then, should be a great “dress rehearsal” for fans to see live.

You MUST know Edwin McCain, right? If you went to a wedding in the 90’s or 2000’s you surely heard his smash hit “I’ll Be” or “I Could Not Ask for More”. McCain, in fact, performed on The Bobby Bones Show in 2021 and was amazing.

Up-and-Coming Artist:

Ian Munsick

A Wyoming cowboy with the look to match, Munsick’s tour schedule is packed – from dates in smaller venues like Megan Patrick to massive shows with Lainey Wilson. Might we be the act, the audience will be able to say “I saw him before he was HUGE” at MDS 7? It feels that way.

Possible “Special Guests” Guesses

I have no insider knowledge, so I’m using logic to think that any unannounced, special guest will be a local friend of Bobby Bones. Easy guesses include stars of Country Music Jake Owen, Brett Eldridge, or Keith Urban – all guys that Bones trumpets as good friends so are off the road at the time of the show.

Could Bones’ even throw in an “A-List” curveball for fans like Garth Brooks, Morgan Wallen, or Lainey Wilson? Might Bones’ even tap into his television contacts with some Dancing with the Stars co-stars or Bear Grills?

Your guess is as good as mine.

In the meantime, though, the anticipation is building for Million Dollar Show 7, April 3rd at The Ryman in Nashville. No matter who shows up to perform, the performances as well as the money donated to St. Jude will be epic.
